Al-Mahdi Institute Publications is the publishing arm of the Institute, committed to advancing scholarship in Islamic studies through multiple streams of academic and community-oriented works.
Al-Mahdi Institute Publications reflect the Institute’s ethos of combining the intellectual traditions of the ḥawza with the critical approaches of contemporary academia. Our publishing activity is guided by a non-doctrinal commitment to present diverse perspectives, engaging both classical sources and modern debates. While the views expressed remain those of the authors, AMI provides a platform that supports rigorous scholarship and facilitates contributions which are at once academically robust and relevant to contemporary Muslim thought and practice.

Our current projects include proceedings from workshops and conferences, as well as bilingual editions of classical texts. All are subject to peer-review and edited by experts in the field.
We welcome proposals for monographs, edited volumes, and translations that combine scholarly excellence with clarity. Proposals should include a statement of aims and scope, a table of contents, a chapter abstract or sample, and a brief CV. Submissions to peer‑reviewed streams undergo external review in consultation with AMI.
